Originally named Escondido Reformed Baptist Church, our
church was officially constituted in May, 2001. We recognize
the definition of a true church as defined by the standards
of the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. A true
church: (1) regularly and rightly ministers the Word of God
for the salvation of all peoples called unto Christ and the
obedience thereof, (2) regularly and rightfully practices
and submits to the God-ordained ordinances of baptism and
the Lord's Supper, and (3) regularly and rightfully carries
on all orders in worship and church discipline.
In September of 2001 ERBC joined in fellowship with the
Southern
California Association of Reformed Baptist Churches
(SCARBC), and in March of 2002 with the
Association of Reformed
Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA).
In December, 2010, after plans to move from Escondido to
Vista were in place, our congregation voted to change the
name of the church to Christ Reformed Baptist Church. With
this change in name came our move to Vista, CA, in January,
2011.
